I believe that you thought about work from home at least once in life, but you are afraid to make that decision. Here are ten reasons to help you make that choice:
- You do not want to have to drive and make a commute to your place of employment. Perhaps your old job required driving several hours to the job and back home. Gas is really expensive and that would definitely contribute to this reason.
- You want to spend as much time with your family as possible. Or perhaps you just want to be with the people you care for the most without having a job to constrict and limit your time spent together.
- You don’t like your bosses/managers/etc. I remember being treated like garbage at my first job. I was expendable. The fact that I was young, nervous and naive meant nothing to my superiors. I was forced to work hours I did not enjoy while they had all the choices they wanted. Sound familiar?
- You’re lazy. You dream of living a life of leisure, or you just want to make a living while doing a minimal amount of work.
- You want to explore other areas of life you would never have time for with a job, or you have a passion that you never have time for. Football, biking, gardening, computers, video games, martial arts, RC gliders…the list is endless.
- You enjoy not having to wear some fancy uniform while you work. You are free to work in your underwear if you please, or you don’t have to wear anything period while they work.
- You never have to feel like somebody is watching you while you work. You can listen to music; look up non-work related sites on the Internet, or anything else that would be frowned upon in the work place.
- You can eat whatever you want, whenever you want. No more being limited to breaks, no more cafeteria food.
- No more obnoxious, weird co-workers.
- You work for yourself at home. You’re not making some CEO or whoever richer while being underpaid.
Have you decide to work from home after you have read these ten reasons?
