12 Patents Added to Apple’s Motorola Patent Case


After recent action taken by Motorola, Apple now in two separate actions accusing Motorola of breaching its patents related to their multi-touch technology.

In fact, Apple sued Motorola to use multi-touch technology into their mobile phones based on Android operating system. The main patent under number 7,479,949 covers devices with touch screens and related methods and interfaces. Other patents that Apple includes in its action, is conducted under the auspices of the American Institute of Patent No. 7,812,828, 7,663,607 and 5,379,430.

The first action Apple alleges that Motorola directly applied technology protected by patent 7,479,949. Another complaint of Apple is very similar, except that the number of patents covering 7,812,828, 7,663,607 and 5,379,430 slightly higher.
